Postage Problems + Other Problems With Website

Saturday, August 21st, 2010

My web person (now fired) made some pretty neat mistakes on the shipping charges for certain parts. Especially gas tank packages. He put $10 for something that costs me almost $40. He also built my website on blog base instead of a true website base. I don’t have the funds to straighten this out just yet, so please understand. I have not updated anything on he site for over a year other than blogs. Thanks! Les

People to watch out for…

Saturday, August 7th, 2010

Back on April 26, 2010, I purchased a set of “done” Pontiac 76 1965 only cylinder heads from a John Lakeya in Highland, MI. They were paid for with a Money Order. I never recieved them. This was thru eBay and they did cover the purchase. I did recieve one email saying he was having some personal problems but that was it. Of course, his eBay account had no phone number and just a zip code. I needed these heads and now am forced into doing another set. If anybody knows of this person and how to contact him, I would greatly appreciate an email. Thanks!

1965 to 1967 Fuel Tanks Now Available!

Monday, May 3rd, 2010

Apparently, Goodmark has started making 65-67 full size Pontiac Fuel Tanks. They do not have a filler neck so save yours. It is soldered in. The cost straight from Goodmark is $241.95. From Summit, it is $199.95. Both share the same part number 4330-750-64. I have not ordered one yet and would ask the first person who does to let me know how it goes. No mention of straps or senders yet. More info as it becomes available.  UPDATE:  Yes, it is too good to be true.  The tanks are only for A Body cars (GTO’s, Skylarks…etc) so pass it on and save those old 65-68 fuel tanks.  Sorry!  Les

Troubles with Website……..

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Hi:  I am having troubles with this website as it was built on an incorrect base.  It was built on a WordPress base, which is a blog based website.  It should have been built on a base such as Magenta.  I am sorry it is so hard to order parts or naviagate the parts for sale area.  I put my trust in a person who apparently was not well versed in website construction.  I believe he meant well, but he used an incorrect format.  Because of this, I have not really been able to update certain areas with new information and photos.  This will change over the next few months.  There may be times when the website is down for major upgrades and changes.  The good news is that when it’s finished, it will be so much better for all of us.  Also, I would like to take this time to thank all of you that have written about the site.  It feels good to know I am doing something to help people out.   It’s been a tough year for parts and car sales.  I thank those who have purchased items as it keeps this effort going forward.  My partner in the reproduction end of things, Les Kapaun, has always been a true friend and his efforts are endless.  Thanks to all and PLEASE get out and vote this year.   Thank you!  Les Kasten
