OK, a large number of you have written me about your 65 on up full size Pontiacs not kicking down into the next lower gear when you stomp on it.  Your car came with a kickdown switch that mounted to your carb.  It was adjustable and had two wires that ran down to your transmission.  I’d say 95% of the cars out there are missing this in one form or another, or they are broken.  A fellow POCI member, Tim Doonan is making parts to rebuild your switch including the plastic plunger, springs and rubber.  Please contact him at 205-381-1890 or email him at tkdgto@hughes,net  He has been doing this for years and is doing the hobby a great service.  Don’t be afraid to tell him where you found his information!  4/15/2013  LK
