1962 Bonneville convertible from Bakersfield, CA

Well, they say there's an ass for every seat. This proves it! Here comes a project most would not do. A 1962 Bonneville convertible from Bakersfield, CA (the land of no rust cars!).

The car is loaded, factory air, 8 lug wheels with new tires, PS, PB, P top and power windows. Buckets and a 389 4 bbl top her off.

Oh, did I forget to mention she's been a bit warm? Seems the person who owned her, drove her to work one day and noticed the fan switch was acting weird. 20 minutes after he went into work, he was told the car was on fire. The car burned for over an hour before the fire was out. It cooked so hard the paint burned off the doors.

Here where two fools met... he put the car on eBay and I bought it!

It came with a trunk full of new parts. The car was shipped here where I spent hours cleaning the roasted interior. I located a 62 Bonnie air conditioned hardtop cowl with power windows, cut from a parts car in California. It too, was shipped here. I purchased many new parts and a lot of used parts to restore this car. The only way to fix this car, is to change the entire cowl. I purchased three doors from IndianaPontiacs.com.

The car is currently on its way through the body shop.
